Juneteenth Movie Night

Join us in the cozy corner of our Church Hall for another special movie night. This time for Juneteenth! We will be showing Free State of Jones starring Matthew McConaughey. It is a movie based in 1863 about Newt Knight, a Mississippi farmer who served as a medic for the Confederate Army. Opposed to slavery, he ended up labeled as an outlaw deserter for his actions and finds refuge with a group of runaway slaves. They end up forging an alliance and Knight leads a rebellion that forever changed history.

We will be serving up movie snacks, and beverages and are working on providing childcare and a movie and snacks for the kids as well! Check back here as we update details.
