Using the Pantry

The pantry is the dark brown shed located in the parking lot of Trinity Episcopal Church. It is open 24 hours, 365 days a year. We have volunteers stock the pantry twice a day, stocking times vary.

You do not need to sign up, make an appointment, or qualify to receive the benefit of the pantry.

Because there are many who use the pantry, we humbly request that you take only what you need so there’s enough to go around.

If you find yourself visiting often or needing more, let us know—we can connect you with additional food resources in the Valley.

Giveaway Days

Pantry volunteers host Thursday product and/or food Giveaways. The goal is to have them twice  each month. Each Giveaway has a different theme - hygiene products, cleaning products and frozen/fresh food. We invite our patrons to join us in the Trinity Parish Hall where we offer a light snack or lunch with a chance to shop at our "Second Stage," where we offer free clothing that has been collected by our Trinity Gives ministry.

We are blessed to have partnerships with the Seymour Oxford Food Bank, the Little Free Pantry on Skokorat, Team, Inc./Bozzuto's, and local farms like Gazy Brothers and Massaro Community Farm. Their generous donations often allow us to host pop-up giveaways. Be sure to follow us on Facebook or Instagram for the latest updates and information on these events!

We welcome any volunteers who wish to join us as we prepare these events. Simply email or call us.

The Blessing Pantry exists to help as many families as possible. Taking more than you need means others may go without. If you need more assistance, please reach out
203-888-6596.

Ways to Give

How can you make a difference?

Since we established the pantry in 2020, our patrons have continually increased in numbers, especially due to the cost of living that seems to keep going up.

If you are able, there are various ways you may help to support the pantry:

• Donate today online

• Mail a check to Trinity Episcopal Church at 91 Church Street, Seymour, CT, 06483

• Drop off non-perishable items into the bins located along our driveway/Blessing Pantry entrance ramp. Please do not donate directly into the shed. We weigh all items we receive.

• Share your time and talents. There are many jobs to do; unloading trucks, weighing donations, serving on giveaway days, filling the pantry. We are always looking for volunteers to share some of their time with us. If you're interested to volunteer or learn more about what we do, send us a quick email.

No gift is too small to make a difference! We hope to connect with you soon!

About

Jesus fed five thousand people with five loaves and two fish. Inspired by that spirit of care, the parishioners of Trinity Episcopal Church launched the Blessing Pantry in 2020 to help feed our neighbors. What began as a parish ministry has now grown into a community effort, lovingly stocked, supported, and used by church members as well as local residents.

Today, our free-standing pantry is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and we also host at least two giveaway days each month—distributing cleaning supplies or personal care essentials and food, along with pop-up events whenever resources allow.

If you are visiting us today, any support you could provide will go a long way in helping local families get through these difficult times. Thank you!
