Thank-You!
On behalf of Evelyn Gil, I want to extend a heartfelt thank-you to all of those who helped her make her first ever `Kids of the Kingdom' bake sale a huge success. The many bakers, her many hungry patrons, and of course her parents, Jodi and Darek who oversaw the sales. Evelyn raised $550.00 an amount that surpassed her goal! But something happened that morning that was even more important than raising money for a waterslide, we all learned what can happen when the children of God unite around a cause. Evelyn could not have done this by herself, she didn't have too, she has us, her brothers and sisters in Christ by her side. What might you dream this year that your church can help make a reality?

Looking Ahead
We would once again like to offer our Music Program, Jammin' for Jesus, on Monday afternoons (4:30 to 5:30) for our younger children. However, in order to do this, we MUST have a second person in the church in order to be in compliance with safe church guidelines.
If you can help on Mondays (or even just some Mondays) please reach out to Rev. Tricia, Sarah or Betheny. Without a second person we will have to suspend this wonderful program.
Bible Study is Back on Tuesday September 8th!
We’ll begin with a light “Welcome Back” — or just plain “Welcome” — supper at 6:30pm in the music room, followed by an introduction to “Getting to Know Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.” We’ll spend four sessions with each Gospel, exploring what makes each one unique.
Join us on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays — come to all 16 sessions or whenever you can. Everyone is welcome; no Bible experience necessary. If you have a Bible, please bring it!
A Prayer for a New Church Year
Holy God,
you meet us again at the beginning of a new program year,
where summer turns into fall
And our thoughts turn to new adventures.
Gather the stories we bring—
the joys that have made us sing,
the losses that have left us quiet,
the questions for which we have no answers,
and the hopes we scarcely dare to name.
As we enter this new year of the church,
teach us to keep time differently:
to notice the holy in the ordinary,
to wait when we would hurry,
to remember when we would forget,
to begin again when we have grown weary.
In Advent, kindle in us
the courage to watch for your light.
At Christmas, open our eyes
to the holiness that comes among us
small and vulnerable.
In Epiphany,
lead us toward the light
that cannot be contained
by our boundaries or our knowing.
In Lent,
give us grace to release
what keeps us from love.
In Holy Week,
stay beside us in the places
where grief and hope meet.
At Easter,
raise us with Christ
into lives made new.
And through the long green season,
teach us the patient work of growing:
rooting, reaching,
resting, bearing fruit.
Bless our worship,
our wondering,
our work and our rest.
Bless the hands that prepare,
the voices that sing,
the hearts that pray,
and all who enter these doors
carrying more than anyone can see.
May this calendar become more than dates and seasons.
May it become a way of remembering
that time itself is held in your grace,
that every ending carries the possibility of beginning,
and that no season is empty
of your presence.
Amen.
September 13th marks the return of our two Sunday services and the start of a new year of Kids of the Kingdom!
After the 10:00am service, we’ll celebrate being back together with a Welcome Back from Summer Potluck! And for our Kids of the Kingdom, there’s a special main event — a water slide, compliments of Evelyn’s Special Fun Project!
Kids of all ages (and we mean ALL ages) should bring bathing suits and towels — or clothes they’re prepared to get wet! And everyone, let us know what you’ll be bringing to share for the potluck.
Four Gospels. Four Voices.
Starting Tuesday, September 8th • 6:30pm
Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John each tell the story of Jesus through a slightly different lens. Come discover what makes each Gospel, and each perspective, unique.

Healing Prayer
Fridays at noon • Returning September 11th
Healing Prayer is moving to a new day! Beginning September 11th, join us at noon on the 2nd through 5th Fridays of each month.
Join Rev. Tricia in her office for a quiet weekday service of prayer and healing, including Eucharist.
Karaoke Night Returns
Friday, September 11th • 7:00pm
Friday night Karaoke is back! Grab the mic, grab a snack, or just grab a seat and enjoy the show. No talent or experience required — enthusiasm is more than enough!
Come sing your favorites, cheer on your friends, and enjoy a relaxed night of music, snacks, and plenty of laughs.
¡Viva la Fiesta Latina! Community Dinner
Thursday, September 24th • 5:00pm
Come hungry and come ready to help! This month, our Community Dinner is taking on a special purpose. We’ll gather for a festive Latin-inspired meal, with good food, shared tables, and good company.
Even better, this dinner gives us a chance to turn fellowship into action. Proceeds from the evening will benefit victims of the earthquake in Colombia, helping support those facing loss and recovery.
More helpers are needed, please email Betheny or add your name to the sign-up sheet in the hall this Sunday.

Join us on Garden Days (Thursdays from 11am-1pm) to lend a helping hand, or just stop by any time to pick some weeds and whatever's ripe!
