Worship

We use the Book of Common Prayer to guide us through worship, special holy days, sacraments such as baptism and marriage, and funerals. The Lectionary is the three-year cycle of Scripture readings that we use throughout the church year, which begins with the first Sunday of Advent. We are currently in Year A.

We are conducting in-person worship for all services. We usually livestream our 10 o'clock Sunday morning service each week on Facebook. If you're not an online watcher, be sure to check out Comcast Channel 10; they play our Sunday morning Holy Eucharist Rite II the following week at 9:00am.

Lenten Devotions

Walking the Way

with Seminarian Jude Morrissey

From the earliest days of Christian pilgrimage, believers walked the path Jesus took to the cross, pausing for prayer and reflection. When pilgrimage to Jerusalem was not possible, churches brought this sacred journey home through the devotion known as the Stations of the Cross.

Fri, Feb 20 | 6:30 p.m. – Traditional

We start our Stations of the Cross series using St. Augustine’s Prayer Book, with scripture-based reflections from the Order of the Holy Cross.

Fri, Feb 27 | 6:30 p.m. – Biblical

This week we use a modern form of the devotion using Walking the Way of the Cross, with reflections by Archbishop Stephen Cottrell connecting Jesus’ journey to our own.

Fri, Mar 6 | 6:30 p.m. – Traditional

Our third week we hold an ecumenical Stations service using We Make the Journey of the Cross with Jesus: An Ecumenical Stations of the Cross, linking Christ’s path with our lives today.

Fri, Mar 13 | 6:30 p.m. – Traditional

Mary’s Way of the Cross invites us to experience Jesus’ Passion through the eyes of his mother this week.

Fri, Mar 20 | 6:30 p.m. – Biblical

A modern Stations service using "A Scriptural Way of the Cross" from the Episcopal Church’s The Book of Occasional Services 2022.

Fri, Mar 27 | 6:30 p.m. – Traditional

We remember Jesus' Passion and Death using the Episcopal Church’s "The Way of the Cross" which also comes from The Book of Occasional Services 2022).
