About The Event
Our film festival continues on Friday the 16th as we preview another thought-provoking and entertaining LGBTQ+ movie. We hope these films will spark conversation and understanding about the LGBTQ+ community in a safe and supportive atmosphere; and also become a new fun thing to do on a Friday night. Pizza and popcorn will be served.

Next up is The Birdcage. This movie is about middle-aged gay life partners who live in the eclectic community of South Beach and have raised a straight son who is newly engaged and wants to bring his fiancée and her ultraconservative parents home to meet his family for the first time. The star-studded cast, including Robin Williams, Nathan Lane, Gene Hackman, Dianne Wiest, Hank Azaria, and Christine Baranski, deliver a hilarious and heartwarming performance worthy of receiving a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast.
